HLN are reporting that, due to the fall out between Nicolas Raskin and Rangers head coach Russel Martin, the former Standard Liege midfielder could be on the move. Premier League sides Crystal Palace and Wolves are said to be interested in taking advantage of the situation. For Rangers, and Martin in particular, a decision will need to be made on whether or not they believe that Raskin can be rehabilitated. With Martin having also started poorly as head coach, his own future is uncertain. Should the club back the manager and allow Raskin to leave to the Premier League, or keep Raskin should Martin be sacked for the sides indifferent start?

The 24-year-old Raskin was a shining light when coming through at Standard Liege, leaving the club in the 2022/2023 to join Rangers. Since then, the midfielder has impressed in his 104 appearances for the Glasgow side, with six goals and 14 assists. 11 of these came during the 2024/2025 season. Raskin has never hidden the fact that he would like to play in the Premier League at some point, and this summer may well be the opportunity for him to do so. After being left out of the Old Firm derby by Martin, it appears that his time in Scotland is about to come to an end. With a World Cup coming up next year, Raskin can ill afford to not be playing regular football if he wants to make it into a potential Belgian squad for the tournament (should they qualify).
