Chelsea midfielder Cuthbert signs new deal | OneFootball

Chelsea midfielder Erin Cuthbert has signed a contract extension with the club until summer 2027.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Blues this afternoon.

The 26-year-old has spent the last eight years with Chelsea. Cuthbert has made more than 250 appearances for the South West Londoners in all competitions while she has won seven league titles, four Adobe Women’s FA Cups, two Subway Women’s League Cups and the FA Women’s Community Shield with the club. The midfielder was also a UEFA Women’s Champions League finalist with Chelsea in 2020/2021.

Despite Chelsea’s rapid growth in recent years, Cuthbert is still a valuable member of the squad and the club have moved to retain her services for an extended period.

After signing on again with The Blues, Cuthbert said “It’s been eight years, but the feeling of playing for this club never goes away. It’s a good time to reflect on how far I’ve come over the last eight years. If you had said to the girl who joined Chelsea eight years ago that she would still be here, I wouldn’t have believed you. I have fallen in love with a club and they have fallen in love with me. That’s special.”

Cuthbert will be hoping to add another trophy to her tally when Chelsea contest the 2024/2025 Subway Women’s League Cup final with Manchester City on Saturday afternoon.
