Ismael Bennacer is considered surplus to requirements at Milan, which leaves the Rossoneri seeking a solution that suits everyone before the close of the transfer window, and now, it is understood that Bologna have made an enquiry for the Algeria international.
Bennacer, who spent the second half of the 2024-25 season on loan in Ligue 1 with Olympique de Marseille, had been in talks over a potential reunion with Roberto De Zerbi.
However, as was originally reported by Gianluigi Longari, it is understood that Bologna have made an enquiry regarding the 27-year-old.

For now, it is simply a request for information from the Rossoblu, rather than any formal negotiations.
However, it is not out of the question that the situation could develop, given that the Rossoblu are still on the lookout for new midfield additions.
Milan have already brought in midfielders Samuele Ricci, Luka Modric and Ardon Jashari this window, and Massimiliano Allegri is also keen on a reunion with Adrien Rabiot, which means that playing opportunities in San Siro are expected to be practically non-existent for Bennacer this season.
