PSG have reached the semifinals of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup after a dramatic victory against Bayern Munich. The first half was tightly contested and ended 0-0, but tensions rose when Jamal Musiala collided with goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, forcing Musiala to be taken off on a stretcher.

The match resumed, and PSG broke the deadlock in the 78th minute thanks to Désiré Doué. However, the game took a wild turn as PSG was reduced to nine players after two red cards. Even so, they stood firm and found a second goal to secure the win.

On Saturday, journalist Fabrizio Romano relayed an update on Musiala’s injury following a collision with Donnarumma. According to BILD, Musiala has broken his left fibula and suffered ligament damage. He’s expected to be out for four to five months.

After PSG’s win over Bayern Munich, Manuel Neuer blasted Donnarumma for his role in the incident.

“A situation where you don’t have to go in like that! It’s reckless,” Neuer said. “He accepts the risk of injuring his opponent… I went up to him and said, ‘Don’t you want to go over to our player?’ Out of respect, you should go over and wish the kid all the best. Then he actually did that. (…) Fairness is always important. I would have reacted differently.”
