Joao Pedro is a “great lad” and doesn’t give opposition defenders any peace according to former team-mate Ben Foster.
Chelsea agreed a deal worth up to £60m with Brighton for Pedro last week, and he’s the third attacking signing of the summer after Liam Delap and Jamie Gittens.
Pedro has completed his medical, and will be added to Chelsea’s squad for the Club World Cup, and there’s an outside chance he could be involved against Palmeiras on Friday.
The Blues have revamped their attack this summer, with Pedro set to be the replacement for Christopher Nkunku and Joao Felix, who are both likely to leave the club.
Pedro, who scored ten Premier League goals and registered six assists last season is also a full Brazil international.

Chelsea believe Pedro can make an instant impact at the club, and his versatility across multiple positions in attack will be a real plus for Enzo Maresca.
Foster, who was team-mates with Pedro at Watford believes the 23-year-old can give Chelsea something they’e been missing with Nkunku and Jackson.
“First of all, great lad. Really hard-working player. Really aggressive. Runs his socks off. Just doesn’t stop, doesn’t give the defenders a minute’s peace,” he told his YouTube channel.

“He’s really started to add goals into his game now. He scored a lot of penalties last season, don’t get me wrong, but some of the goals he did score last season came about from real hard work and tenacity.
“I think Chelsea will really appreciate that. I think that’s the bit they’ve been missing with Nkunku and Jackson – that real pressing, really shutting someone down with intent.”
Chelsea are still looking at attacking options and are keeping an eye on the situation surrounding Mohammed Kudus.
Tottenham are interested in the Ghana international, and West Ham are thought to open to offers of around £60m, despite Kudus having an £85m release clause active in the first ten days of July.
If Chelsea press ahead in their pursuit of Kudus, it looks likely Noni Madueke will leave the club, and he’s attracting interest from Arsenal.
