Bayer Leverkusen place an €8-15 million valuation on Juventus target Granit Xhaka | OneFootball

As previously reported by Get German Football News, Granit Xhaka’s future at Bayer Leverkusen is still up in the air.

The former Arsenal midfielder has stated that while he is happy at the BayArena, he does not want to experience a transition period at Die Werkself.

Xhaka explained that “the players who are leaving or have left are a huge loss,” indicating that the Swiss international considers Leverkusen’s chances of battling Bayern Munich for the Meisterschale have plummeted significantly over the past few months.

Regardless, AC Milan, who had appeared to be the possible destination for Xhaka, have instead elected to sign Real Madrid’s Luka Modrić.

Nevertheless, as reported by the Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus have now stated an interest in acquiring Xhaka this summer.

While the Bianconeri consider their main targets to be Newcastle’s Sandro Tonali and Inter Milan’s Davide Frattesi, deals for the two midfielders appear difficult to achieve.

Therefore, Juventus may look to match Leverkusen’s valuation of Xhaka, which is believed to be within the region of €8-15 million.

Die Werkself are still reluctant to allow the 32-year-old to depart, with Galatasaray and Besiktas also monitoring his situation, but they do not want to stand in Xhaka’s way should he wish to leave.
