Barcelona star tipped to return to starting XI vs Levante | OneFootball

A headline member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has been tipped for a swift return to the club’s starting XI to face Levante.

The player in question? Jules Koundé.

Stopper Koundé was for his part forced to watch on from the bench last weekend, as Barcelona kicked the defence of their La Liga title into gear with a victory over Mallorca.

Hansi Flick instead opted for Eric García as his right-back at Son Moix, with the Spaniard fresh off a fine close to the 2024/25 campaign.

Eric for his part conjured up another impressive performance on opening day, en route to Barcelona keeping a clean sheet.

As alluded to above, though, as much has not guaranteed the former Manchester City man of a 2nd successive start later today.

As confirmed by Diario AS, Jules Koundé may well hold the edge in the battle for the right-back spot in the Blaugrana’s XI to face Levante.
