Paris Saint-Germain showed significant interest in Khvicha Kvaratskhelia this past summer, but no move materialized. Now, the player and Napoli are facing challenges in reaching a contract extension, with one club looking to get an edge over the competition.
Journalist Graeme Bailey recently mentioned to Rousing the Kop that Kvaratskhelia is on Liverpool’s radar as they begin to plan for life after Mohamed Salah.
“When you’ve got the likes of possibly Kvaratskhelia on the market, let’s not forget that Liverpool have just brought in the second best Georgian player,” Bailey said. “Liverpool are all over Kvaratskhelia, they know about the situation, there might be a chance of getting him next summer.”
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, PSG and Barcelona are intensifying their efforts and applying pressure to secure a deal for the summer, with a resolution expected in the coming weeks.

La Repubblica reports (h/t Foot Mercato) that Barcelona are already preparing an offer for the Napoli player, with contacts between the different parties already taking place. The Italian publication even specifies that the final cost of the operation could reach €80 million.
The next challenge is to convince Aurelio de Laurentiis, who is determined to extend the Georgian’s contract.
