Barcelona deal for AC Milan star is ‘on the table’ this summer | OneFootball

La Liga champions Barcelona boast the ongoing option of kickstarting talks with their counterparts at AC Milan, over a deal for Rafael Leão.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Saturday provided an insight into the situation.

Barcelona have of course been forced to reignite their search for a new left winger over the last 24 hours.

As much come after Athletic Club star Nico Williams, considered all but guaranteed to join the Blaugrana this summer, shocked the masses in penning a new long-term contract in Bilbao.

Deco and co, in turn, have quickly shifted focus back towards Premier League pair Luis Díaz and Marcus Rashford.

As alluded to above, though, another option which remains very much ‘on the table’ for Barca is that of Rafael Leão.

As per a report from Sport:

‘The option for Leão, which was already negotiated last summer, is on the table through Jorge Mendes, who is not his agent but does have ascendancy with the player and very good relations with Milan.’

Leão, as things stand, is not considered a priority at the Camp Nou, but his name is certainly one to keep an eye on over the weeks ahead.
