According to a report from L’Équipe, Olympique de Marseille have been left frustrated in their efforts to sell Azzedine Ounahi (25) this summer. The Moroccan international who first arrived in La Provence in 2023 from Angers SCO is being pushed towards the exit door.
Marseille have placed a €12m valuation on the midfielder, who has a contract lasting until 2027. In June, Marseille’s valuation was matched by Spartak Moscow. However, Ounahi was reluctant to join the Russian club and vetoed the transfer. L’Équipe writes that the midfielder has currently rejected all the proposals that have been put forward to him.
Ounahi has been linked with a return to Panathinaikos in Greece, where he had a successful season on loan and has become a firm fan favourite at the club, while he is also attracting interest from Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion, who are long-term admirers of the player.
