A member of the defensive ranks at Atlético Madrid had his wits about him this week, during an exchange with a Spanish national team fan.

The player in question? Robin Le Normand.

Stopper Le Normand, for his part, is currently away on international duty, with Luis de la Fuente’s Spain.

As part of an open training session to kick the international break into gear, La Roja’s stars, in turn, this week engaged with fans, posing for photos, signing autographs and more.

And, in the thick of as much, the aforementioned Le Normand found himself in something of a predicament.

This came upon one member of the Spanish crowd putting a Real Madrid jersey in front of the 27-year-old, requesting his signature.

And though he only made the move to Spain’s capital from Real Sociedad during the summer, Le Normand quickly made clear that he is already very much team Atlético.

As showcased in the footage below, responding to the supporter in question, the defender explained:

“There are thousands of Madrid players,” an indirect request for the supporter in question to seek out an autograph from one of La Roja’s Real Madrid contingent.
