The roar for James Forrest’s goal was magical

The roar at Celtic Park on Saturday when James Forrest scored with pretty much the last kick of the campaign told its own story.

The Canadian defender has grown to appreciate everything that is uniquely special about Celtic, where he reckons the passion in unrivalled anywhere in football, as he explained post in his pitch side interview with Sky Sports on Saturday afternoon.

Now his attention and that of his teammates, turns to Hampden on Saturday afternoon as the third and final instalment of the ninth Celtic treble is chased down, with Aberdeen standing in their way.

“We are in a position to do a domestic clean sweep, so let’s go and take that chance,” Johnston said, as reported by Scottish Sun. “Saturday was great but the hunger is still there in the squad. Look at James Forrest and Callum McGregor, they have won 50 trophies between them and are the two hungriest guys around.

“If you can’t get up for finals, there is probably something wrong with you.”

“How can you, as a younger player with a lot less medals than them, ever say, ‘Oh, it’s just another one’? We want to win every piece of silverware and we all have that desire and desperation to do it again on Saturday.

“If you can’t get up for finals, there is probably something wrong with you.

“We expect Aberdeen to come out full throttle and leave it all on the line. We will be ready for that too. Whether it’s 90 or 120 minutes, we will be ready for it.
