Paris Saint-Germain have identified an attacking issue this season, particularly in the UEFA Champions League, where goals have been hard to come by for Luis Enrique and his squad.
Earlier in 2024, PSG was linked with Liverpool’s standout winger Luis Díaz, but those rumors never materialized. Now, however, with ongoing struggles in attack, PSG might be revisiting the Colombian as a potential target.
Díaz is contracted with Liverpool until 2027, but the club is looking to extend his deal. However, talks have reportedly stalled, leaving the door open for a potential sale if an agreement can’t be reached.
Colombian outlet Antena2 recently reported that disagreements in contract discussions could lead Díaz to consider other options. PSG are said to be showing interest, though the winger is still believed to be part of Barcelona’s long-term plans.

According to a significant update from Antena 2, Diaz and his camp have not been able to persuade Liverpool that he deserves a substantial pay rise. The report stated:
“Luis Díaz is increasingly far from securing his continuity at Liverpool. The Colombian, one of the most prominent figures of the Reds since his arrival in January 2022, faces an uncertain scenario after failing to reach an agreement with the English club for the renewal of his contract, which expires in 2026.”
“The striker’s entourage has revealed that negotiations for his renewal with the Reds have failed. For the 27-year-old player, his leading role in the team led by Arne Slot is not related to the salary he receives and he has demanded an improvement in his contract to match the club’s leaders.”
Antena 2’s report concludes by noting that Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain were the first clubs to show interest, with both willing to offer up to €80 million for the Colombian striker.
Now, AC Milan has also joined the race, with the Rossoneri keen to sign a world-class player who can be a game-changer for the team, and the Colombian is one of their top targets.
