Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has now shut down a big Chelsea transfer story that got Blues fans excited over the weekend.
I must admit, when I saw this one come out I just had to laugh, because I saw nothing at all in this one at the time.
Chelsea are always going to be thrown into these rumours due to the fact that they have spent so much on signing new players since the new owners came in, and they are surely always going to be looking at signing more big names if an opportunity comes up.
But the reality is, Chelsea’s new way of recruiting is that they are trying to sign top young talents before they become a big name and too expensive to sign, so this one really doesn’t have much substance to it.
And now Romano has confirmed those thoughts.
Junior scores again!
According to MARCA, both Chelsea and PSG are interested in Vinicius Junior, who has been compared to Mykhailo Mudryk. While Real Madrid officials are scheduled to meet with his representatives in the coming weeks to discuss his future.
Nonetheless, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano is cooling off any potential idea that the Brazilian is on the way out.
Romano said on his latest YouTube video:
“As of today, linking Vinicius Junior to Chelsea, PSG or Manchester United is absolutely not realistic. Interest is normal, but there is nothing ongoing.”
I think some Chelsea fans might have got a bit excited by this news but deep down most of us knew there was nothing in it at all when it first came out.
I do suspect that Chelsea might keep an eye on him at least, like they would with any big name like this if they became available.
But for now, there’s nothing at all in this one.
