The Women's EURO 2025 is just seven days away, so here are seven contenders to be crowned the Player of the Tournament in Switzerland.
Bonmatí comes into this summer as back-to-back Ballon d'Or Féminin winner and Player of the Tournament at the 2023 World Cup. A player capable of running games, slowing them down, speeding them up, controlling throughout and breaking things open with a moment of magic, Spain are the favourites and Bonmatí their most likely star.
If they go all the way again, she could wrap up a golden era with another individual prize.

Germany have been inconsistent since reaching the 2022 final, and it's hard not to think Bühl will be central to them going on a run this summer.
Versatile, dependable, hard-working. But also wickedly gifted, creative, threatening. Bühl delivers goals and assists by driving at defenders from wide positions and popping up in dangerous areas. Her mix of directness, intelligence, and end product makes her a nightmare to defend.
If Germany click, Bühl is likely to be at the heart of it.

France’s midfield general, Geyoro is everything a tournament team needs in the middle.
She does the dirty work — interceptions, pressing, defensive cover — but she also arrives in the box like a seasoned No. 10. Her engine is elite, her decision-making sharp, and her presence undeniable. She’s a true box-to-box force, the heartbeat of a side packed the talent to win the entire tournament.

On her day, the most devastating wide player in world football.
Quick, elegant, and endlessly creative, Graham Hansen isolates full-backs and unpicks defences. She can go outside, cut in, shoot, cross, and she has team-mates who can provide a world class supporting case in attack.
Now 30 and at her fourth Euros, it would be no surprise at all if she lit the tournament up.

Back and with plenty to make up for.
Injury ruled Katoto out of most of the 2022 Euros and the entire 2023 World Cup before she scored five goals in four games at last summer's Olympics. Fully fit, Katoto gives France a focal point. She's quick, clinical, strong, and often in the right place at the right time.
Now 26, she has 37 goals in 53 appearances for France and is primed for that big moment on a big stage.

Yes, a second Spanish shout, and honestly we could have written this whole thing just with Spain players.
Putellas is finding rhythm again after a long road back from injury, and a fit, firing Alexia remains one of the most elegant and intelligent players on the planet, both when it comes to creating and finishing chances. Her chemistry with Bonmatí gives Spain control few sides can match, but Alexia boasts more of that eye-catching end product. It's time for her to celebrate a crowning moment on the international stage.

England have no shortage of stars, but if they’re going to go deep, someone has to step up front and take responsibility. That someone is likely Russo.
Threatening with running behind, strong with her back to goal, sharp inside the box, and coming off a Golden Boot-winning WSL campaign, Russo has everything to lead the Lionesses to glory in Switzerland.
