Brighton & Hove Albion have signed England youth international attacking midfielder Amario Cozier-Duberry after he left Arsenal on Monday, according to the Secret Scout.

The Secret Scout is a reputable source for youth football and transfer news, and they claim on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) that the 19-year-old has signed for the Seagulls after visiting their training ground this weekend.

Arsenal officially announced the departure of Cozier-Duberry on Monday alongside fellow young professional Reuell Walters.

The teenage sensation told the Gunners he was going to leave and not sign a new deal after the expiration of his contract at the end of last month as he wants first-team football.

Despite his talents and huge potential which saw him remind Jack Wilshere of Bukayo Saka, Cozier-Duberry was unable to make an official debut for Arsenal, turning down a new deal as it did not come with guarantees that he would feature in the plans of manager Mikel Arteta going forward.

He joined the North London club as an academy player in September 2019, signing his first professional contract in June 2022.

Cozier-Duberry had been around the Arsenal first-team since 2022, featuring in the mid-season friendlies against Lyon, AC Milan and also making his unofficial Emirates Stadium debut against Juventus during the 2022 World Cup.

Despite going on their mid-season tour to Dubai and getting named in the matchday squad eight times in 2023-24, he found it difficult to break into the first-team, only managing to make 24 appearances in all competitions for the academy last season, scoring 13 goals and assisting five times.

Cozier-Duberry will hope to convince at Brighton and will likely get a chance under their 31-year-old manager Fabian Hurzeler.
