Zinedine Zidane has suggested Neymar could still join Real Madrid before the transfer window closes next month.
Neymar is reportedly desperate to leave Paris Saint-Germain and has been heavily linked with a return to former club Barcelona.
But rumours of a possible switch to Barça’s fierce rivals Madrid have also begun to surface in recent weeks, and Los Blancos boss Zidane is refusing to rule anything out.
“Neymar is not [in our squad] but until September 2, anything can happen,” Zidane told reporters following his side’s 2-2 draw with Roma on Sunday.
“We are with the squad that we have and we are only thinking about that.”
Meanwhile, Gareth Bale and James Rodríguez are two players who are expected to leave the Bernabeu before the transfer window closes and after Bale featured in the Roma game, Zidane gave an update on the duo’s situation.
“Bale and Rodriguez are two players in our squad, but anything can happen [until the end of the transfer window],” he said.
“James Rodriguez is a Real Madrid player under contract, he was not called but everything can change.”
