Mattia Zaccagni warns Lazio need ‘great humility and determination’ to get the better of Bayern Munich in the Champions League Round of 16 tonight.
It kicks off at the Allianz Arena at 20.00 GMT.
The first leg ended 1-0 thanks to a Ciro Immobile spot-kick, so with the away goals rule scrapped by UEFA, any one-goal defeat here would prompt extra time and possibly even penalties.
If the Biancocelesti can avoid a loss, they will reach the Champions League quarter-finals for the first time since 2000.
“We are in one of the most beautiful stadiums in the world against one of the best teams, but we’ll try to put that emotion aside and push from the start,” Zaccagni told Sky Sport Italia.
“We need great humility and determination, details will make the difference and we’ve got to give our all.”
This is his second match in the starting XI after five weeks out with a toe injury, having featured in Friday’s 1-0 defeat to Milan.
“The Milan match went pretty well for me, it was a long period where I suffered, but now I want to have my say.”
The winger was forced to miss the first leg on February 14 due to injury and is looking for his first Champions League goal of the season after five appearances.
