Transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano has relayed that Palmeiras expressed their desire to retain Endrick until January.

In their communication with Real Madrid, they highlighted the presence of Rodrygo, Vinicius Jr, and Kylian Mbappe, among others, in their squad. Nevertheless, Real Madrid rebuffed their plea, demonstrating eagerness to incorporate Endrick into their setup.

It is to ne noted that contrary to prevalent media speculation, Real Madrid harbour no intention of loaning out Endrick.

He will neither return to Palmeiras until December nor be relegated to the youth team. Real Madrid have articulated their stance firmly, affirming that the young Brazilian will undergo training with the senior team and will be afforded opportunities as they arise.

Back in March, Romano mentioned that signing Endrick from Palmeiras was not easy for Real Madrid, as they faced serious competition for the young forward.

The journalist said that Paris Saint-Germain had a bid rejected for Endrick and even Chelsea invited him and his family to London to visit the club’s facilities. Eventually, it was the player’s decision that gave Real Madrid the edge.

“It is important to mention one behind-the-scenes instance involving Endrick and Real Madrid. Endrick was not an easy signing for Real Madrid. Juni Calafat made the difference,” said Romano.

“With Endrick it was really complicated because Paris Saint-Germain were really pushing to sign him and they even had a bid rejected for him.

“Then there were Chelsea. They invited Endrick’s parents and family to London. It was a concrete negotiation, but they decided not to spend crazy money on his transfer.

“For Endrick, he always wanted to play for Real Madrid as he believed he could make history at the club,” he explained.

Endrick will officially sign for Real Madrid in July 2024, when he turns 18. Real Madrid will pay Palmeiras a fixed sum of €35 million, with the remaining €25 million subject to achieving specific sporting objectives
