Barcelona head coach Xavi Hernández has this evening provided updates on the wellbeing of no fewer than four members of his squad.
This comes after the club’s meeting with Osasuna gave rise to a whole host of fresh concerns on the personnel front.
The most noteworthy came in the form of an issue suffered by Ferran Torres, who was forced to limp out of the action in Catalunya inside the five-minute mark whilst clutching his hamstring.
Nevertheless, speaking during his post-match press conference, boss Xavi revealed his hope that the problem will ultimately prove to be a ‘small’ one:
“Ferran noticed something in his hamstring and we hope it is something small. It is unfortunate that he was injured because he was in a great moment.”
From here, Barca’s soon-to-be-former headmaster was also asked for the latest on all of João Cancelo, Ronald Araújo, and Lamine Yamal.
This comes after the trio were spotted in discomfort at various points across the 90 minutes this evening.
Xavi, though, assured that all three are fit and well, having received ‘hits’, rather than injuries:
“Cancelo, Araujo and Lamine received hits but they are not injured.”
