Xavi feeling ‘excited and hopeful’ to continue at Barça for another year | OneFootball

Barcelona manager Xavi spoke at a press conference on Sunday previewing his side’s match at home against Valencia on Monday evening.

The match against Valencia will be Barcelona’s first since Xavi announced his intention to stay at the club beyond the end of the season.

As per El Desmarque, the Barcelona boss is excited and has the energy needed to continue leading the team beyond the end of the season.

He also mentioned how second place is firmly in his side’s sights, especially with the opportunity to face Girona, their closest challengers for the position, next weekend.

On the match against Valencia, Xavi said, ‘We trained very well. To be honest, I saw that the team was very committed. We haven’t had time to train more. The fans are eager to get a win tomorrow and to finish with a good atmosphere. As for me, I’m excited and thrilled to continue for another year. I have all the enthusiasm and energy in the world to continue’.
