Wrexham’s Hollywood owners will be partying the night away after the club sealed promotion to League Two with a victory over Boreham Wood on Saturday.
The Welsh club were relegated from the Football League exactly 15 years ago today and the Racecourse Ground has seen non-league football ever since.
But the 2020 takeover by Hollywood duo Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenny has sparked a change in fortunes, and the Red Dragons will be playing in English football’s fourth tier next season.
Paul Rudd – another famous Hollywood actor – was also in attendance to watch the win over Boreham Wood, which means Wrexham now cannot be caught by second-placed Notts County with one match of the season remaining.
