Luton Town striker Cauley Woodrow is of interest to Wrexham AFC.
Wrexham AFC are eyeing a January move for Luton Town forward, Cauley Woodrow.
Phil Parkinson's side are tussling for automatic promotion once more this season, as they bid to take another step up the pyramid and into the Championship.
An X report from transfer guru, Pete O'Rourke, has suggested that Wrexham are eyeing a move for Luton's Woodrow this January.
Woodrow, 30, has made 12 Championship appearances this season for the Hatters but is yet to register a goal or an assist in the league during the club's struggle to adapt to life back in the division under Rob Edwards.
However, Woodrow did feature for Luton in the Premier League last season, scoring once in 24 top-flight appearances. That goal came in a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace and there's little doubt that, for League One Wrexham, a move for a player who was playing at such a level in 2024 would be a coup.
Woodrow has played the last six years at Championship level or higher, yet he has earned his stripes in League One previously.
During the 2018/19 campaign, he bagged 16 goals and registered two assists for Barnsley at that level, helping the Tykes to promotion.
The now 30-year-old has 14 and 13 goal hauls in the Championship after making the step-up before a relatively dry couple of seasons.
However, there's little doubt that stepping back into League One could be what's needed for Woodrow to get back among the goals regularly.
He would be a top signing for Parkinson's automatic promotion hopefuls.
Wrexham's 'Hollywood' rise from the National League into League One has been well documented, with Parkinson doing great work at the club.
Despite only achieving promotion from League Two last season, Wrexham are battling the likes of Birmingham City and Huddersfield Town (relegated from the Championship) for the top-two.
It is Wycombe Wanderers who actually lead the way in League One, yet Birmingham are level on 50 points with the Chairboys. Wrexham are a couple of points adrift in third having played more games.
