The Ghanaian national football team has finalized the venue for its last two home matches in the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers.

The Black Stars will host Mali (September 8) and Comoros (October 13) at the Accra Sports Stadium, which is currently the only stadium in the country certified by the Confederation of African Football.

The governing body of African football did not approve the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, where Ghana had played its recent home games.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) Communications Director, Henry Asante Twum, confirmed the news in a statement to 3Sports: "At the moment, the only approved venue for Black Stars matches is the Accra Sports Stadium. It will host the Black Stars' fixtures in September and October."

The Accra Sports Stadium has a capacity of 40,000 seats. The last time Ghana played there was against Chad (5-0) on matchday five of the qualifiers last March.

It's worth noting that Mohammed Kudus and his teammates currently top Group I of the 2025 World Cup qualifiers with 15 points from 6 games, ahead of Comoros (12 pts), Madagascar (10 pts), Mali (9 pts), Central African Republic (5 pts), and Chad (0 pt).
