Current World Cup champions France will be hoping to win the tournament back to back and GiveMeSport have predicted how the country could set up when they kick off in Qatar.
With a huge plethora of talent, it is hard for manager and former French player Didier Deschamps to pick a squad for the competition, let alone a starting XI.
No doubt a lot of people will be expecting France to win the World Cup due to their quality; however, it will be a lot harder for them as teams will set up a lot more defensively in order to contain them.
With so many world-class players, the France team is very exciting to watch, and they will terrify the teams they face.
With so much quality, it is hard to predict the starting XI; however, with current Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema, as well as other world-class stars like Kylian Mbappe and Christopher Nkunku, predicting the teamsheet is made a little easier.
It is also a squad that should easily beat any team that threatens to be a dark horse in the 2022 World Cup.
Formation: 5-2-1-2/5-2-2-1
As you can see, the starting XI is full of world-class stars, but as always, there will no doubt be some big injuries affecting all the nations before the World Cup starts on November 20th 2022.
Raphael Varane and Jules Kounde are both struggling with injuries at the moment.
There were hopes that Paul Pogba could force himself back into the side now he is fully fit again; however he picked up another injury on 1st November which means he will be out of the tournament. N’Golo Kante also looks set to miss out due to injury.
With the games coming thick and fast during the tournament, there will be a lot of rotation, so the whole of the 25-man squad will be used.
