Women's FA Cup semi-final draw: Chelsea, Man Utd, Tottenham & Leicester learn fates | OneFootball

The draw for the semi-finals of the Women's FA Cup has been made, with holders Chelsea facing a tricky tie away at Manchester United in a repeat of last year's final.

There will also be a new finalist as Tottenham Hotspur will face Leicester City in the competition's other semi-final, with the ties to be played across the weekend of April 13/14.

Chelsea are on the hunt for a sixth Women's FA Cup, which would move them level with Doncaster Rovers Belles as the third-most successful team in the competition's history. Arsenal lead the way with 14 wins, while Southampton still have the second-most triumphs with eight following an extremely successful spell in the 1970s.

They will face a United side who are out for revenge having narrowly been beaten by the Blues in last season's final, where Sam Kerr grabbed the only goal at Wembley. Chelsea also prevailed in their first meeting with United in the WSL this term, winning 3-1 at Stamford Bridge, and they will face off again on the final day of the season.

Chelsea reached the semi-finals with a narrow 1-0 win at Everton, while United comprehensively thrashed Brighton 4-0.

Meanwhile, Tottenham and Leicester will battle it out for a place in the final for the first time. Spurs and the Foxes have both reached this stage of the competition for the first time.

At the fourth time of asking this season, Tottenham beat Manchester City in order to book their spot in the last four, seeing off Gareth Taylor's side on penalties. Leicester secured an impressive 2-0 victory at Liverpool courtesy of a Jutta Rantala brace in the quarter-finals.

There is a possibility that both ties could be moved to the home grounds of the respective men's teams, with United and Tottenham both playing away in the Premier League on the weekend of April 13/14.
