Gianpiero Piovani's Inter recorded their first defeat of the season. The Nerazzurre took a first-half lead through Ivan Andrés, her first goal for the Club, but Fiorentina came from behind to win it. Boquete equalised for the Viola from the penalty spot in the 61st minute before Pastrenge's stoppage-time winner.
Inter started the game the better of the two sides and pushed for the goal in the first half, which was played at a relatively slow tempo. In the 25th minute, Piovani’s girls took the lead through Ivana Andrés, who scored her first goal in Italian football. The Spaniard turned it home after the ball dropped loose in the penalty area following a corner from Wullaert. Inter didn’t really look in trouble for the remainder of the first half, save for Toniolo hitting the bar from a free-kick (41’).
Fiorentina made changes at the break, sending on Erven and Catena, the latter of whom sparked the Viola’s attack into life, as they attacked more in the second 45. Inter spurned a huge chance to double their lead in the 48th minute through Cambiaghi. Fiorentina then brought themselves level from the penalty spot, Boquete converting it after winning the spot-kick for a foul by Milinkovic. Nerves were in the air and De la Fuente’s side came close through a Catena header. La Viola then got the winner in stoppage time: Pastrenge beat Runarsdottir following a mix-up in the Inter penalty area.
