Here’s what went down.

Robins shock Hammers

Scorers: Conway 3′

Bristol City provided one of the big shocks of the FA Cup third round as they beat West Ham 1-0.

The Robins were unfortunate to only draw in east London 10 days ago but came into this game having not won in three games in the Championship.

Liam Manning’s side stunned the Hammers just four minutes in as Tommy Conway scored for the second game in succession against David Moyes’ side as he rounded the goalkeeper and tapped in.

West Ham tried to show their class as the half went on and should have equalised on 25 minutes only for Maxwell Cornet’s close range volley to fire wide.

Things got more difficult for the Premier League side early in the second half as Saïd Benrahma was given his marching orders after kicking out at Joe Williams.

Even with 10 men though West Ham pushed for an equaliser as Danny Ings’ first time effort forced a brilliant save from Max O’Leary.

But it wasn’t enough as Bristol City won to play either Nottingham Forest or Blackpool in the next round.

Old Gold go through

Scorers: Semedo 38′ Fraser 72′ Cunha (PEN) 105+6′; Collins 13′, Maupay 52′

Wolves needed a Matheus Cunha penalty in extra time to beat Brentford 3-2 at Molineux.

The first fixture between these two ended in a 1-1 draw with the winners tonight drawn at West Brom in the fourth round.

It didn’t take long for Brentford to take the lead as Wolves old boy Nathan Collins struck against his former side on 13 minutes.

The Molineux club thought they had equalised on the half hour mark but Nélson Semedo and Paolo Sarabia both missed close-range efforts.

A few moments later Wolves did get their goal however as Semedo netted.

Into the second half and the Bees took the lead just after the break as Neal Maupay’s effort was initially given as offside but that decision was eventually overruled by VAR.

For the second time on the night though, the home team got another equaliser as Nathan Fraser found the back of the net.

And that was how the game stayed at 90 minutes as we went into extra time.

Shandon Baptiste had the best chance to find a winner in the first half of extra time but his brilliant effort came back off the post.

Right on the stroke of half time however, Wolves went ahead for the first time as Matheus Cunha dispatched from the spot.

It proved to be enough as the Molineux side booked their place in the fourth round and a clash with near neighbours West Brom.

Ogbene the hero for Hatters

Scorers: Charles 11′; Chong 15′, Ogbene 61′

Luton came from behind to beat Bolton 2-1 on Tuesday and book a clash with Crystal Palace or Everton in the next round.

Bolton hosted the Premier League side with Ian Evatt’s men riding high in League One, having won four in a row coming into this clash.

And it was the third tier club who took the lead on 11 minutes as Dion Charles kept up his stunning form this season with another goal.

The lead lasted all of four minutes though as Tahith Chong equalised for the Hatters with a smart finish.

After the break it took Luton up to the hour mark for them to go ahead as Chiedozie Ogbene coolly slotted home for the winner.
