Three matches and three big wins is our pleasing overall record against SC Austria Lustenau, with a goal difference of 14-0 since their promotion to the ADMIRAL Bundesliga in 2022. That speaks for itself, but it would be foolish to automatically expect another big win on Saturday.
Under their former coach Markus Mader, Lustenau tended to have a bold attacking playing style, which left us plenty of space to attack in. Since the winter break, new coach Andreas Heraf, formerly of SW Bregenz, has been tasked with doing everything possible to ensure survival.
That will be a tough task for the Green and Whites. They started the year well by taking their very first win of the ADMIRAL Bundesliga season in a bottom-of-the-table clash against WSG Tirol, before suffering a narrow 0-1 defeat against Austria Klagenfurt last week.
After we started 2024 with two consecutive 1-1 draws (including a Bundesliga goal in record time from Petar Ratkov), we want a win to maintain our two-point lead over SK Sturm Graz. There is no doubt that we will need to put everything on the line to preserve our winning run against Lustenau.

We are not focusing on the statistics, but rather on the opponents we are going to face. We have taken a good look at Lustenau in the past few days, also considering the change of coach over the winter. We want to take a win at home against opponents who are sure to defend very deeply. We need to really work our way into the game, play to a high tempo, set the tone and create chances in order to win.

I have settled really well in Salzburg already, and I'm delighted that I can play here. It's the best decision that I could have made in the situation. The team have welcomed me superbly, and I'm doing very well on the pitch. I am really happy off the pitch too. I am living in a hotel still, but I have found an apartment already. My family have already visited me and they like it. Everything is really very positive.
