Following Cruzeiro’s win over Banfield in a friendly, Cassio made his way off the pitch and handed over the boots he’d just worn to a Corinthians fan awaiting him near the player’s tunnel.

Visibly emotional and accompanied by his nephew, the fan thanked Cassio not just for the unexpected gesture but also for his pivotal contributions during Corinthians’ historic 2012 campaign. That year, Cassio was instrumental in delivering both the Copa Libertadores and FIFA Club World Cup titles to the São Paulo giants—achievements etched in the collective memory of the club’s supporters.
