Paris Saint-Germain will face Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League semifinal after both teams eliminated Spanish opponents in their quarterfinal tie. Nonetheless, one Premier League club is rooting for the German side to advance to the final at Wembley Stadium.

The Parisians dramatically moved past FC Barcelona after turning around a 4-2 aggregate score at one point. PSG scored four unanswered goals after Ronald Araujo received a straight red card early in the first half.

After the red card, Luis Enrique and his team took advantage of the situation and made Barcelona pay. On the other side, Dortmund faced a 4-3 aggregate score at one point during the second leg game, but two goals in the 71st and 74th minute allowed the Bundesliga side to defeat Atletico Madrid.

Dortmund and PSG have played twice this season during the group stage, so they know each other pretty well. Manchester United are one team rooting for Edin Terzić and his squad to advance.

According to Tyrone Marshall of the Manchester Evening News, Dortmund paid a “significant” loan bonus for Jadon Sancho after they qualified for the Champions League semifinal. Another will be unlocked if they eliminate PSG to advance to the final. The initial loan amount is €3.5 million, with a maximum bonus of €4 million.

The first leg will be played in Germany on Wednesday, May 1, and then the scene shifts to Paris on May 7 for the return leg.
