Neymar’s future at Paris Saint-Germain has been the subject of intense speculation this summer.

The Brazilian is currently under contract at the Parc des Princes until June 2025, with the club having the option to extend it by another year.

However, several reports suggest the left winger is unhappy and wants a new challenge elsewhere.

The 31-year-old has been linked with Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool in this transfer window.

However, Mundo Deportivo is now claiming the Brazil international was offered to the Catalans earlier this summer by his representatives.

With the club failing to bring in Lionel Messi, the player’s agents saw an opportunity to help him seal a move to Camp Nou, but Barca turned down the opportunity.

Neymar’s signing was reportedly not financially feasible for the Catalans, who have been facing massive economic problems in recent years.

They also believed his arrival would disrupt the harmony of a close-knit dressing room.

Neymar shocked the world when he opted to join PSG in 2017 in an astronomical €222 million deal.

However, the move hasn’t worked out for him or the French giants.

The Brazilian has shone at times, but a series of injury problems and discipline issues have stopped him from delivering what was expected.
