PSG might be in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer as uncertainty grows around Gianluigi Donnarumma’s future.
Even though Donnarumma’s contract runs through 2026, the club hasn’t yet started talks about an extension. That silence has sparked rumors about potential replacements, including a seasoned goalkeeper from Barcelona.
Earlier reports from BILD linked PSG to Marc-André ter Stegen if he decides to leave Barcelona. Other clubs reportedly interested in ter Stegen include AC Milan, Manchester City, Juventus, and Newcastle United.
SPORT recently shared that Barcelona manager Hansi Flick plans to have important discussions with ter Stegen this month. While ter Stegen has been Barcelona’s longtime No. 1, he seems to be out of Flick’s immediate plans but could still stay to complete the last year of his contract.

Cadena SER reports that Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has informed ter Stegen he won’t be the starting goalkeeper this season. The German keeper is very upset but said he plans to fight for his place and has no intention of leaving.
According to a previous report from SPORT that ter Stegen will only agree to end his contract with Barcelona if he receives his full salary for the remaining three years. Otherwise, he plans to wait until January before considering a move away from Camp Nou.
Meanwhile, CaughtOffside reported that Chelsea continue exploring their goalkeeper options, with ter Stegen among the names under consideration. The same report notes that Manchester United have also shown interest in the 33-year-old as they evaluate alternatives to Andre Onana.
