U.S President Donald Trump made headlines during the 2025 FIFA Club World cup final , not for politics but for his interactions with Chelsea’s players after their stunning 3 - 0 win over Paris Saint Germain.

Chelsea Crowned World Champions

Held between 14 Jun and 13 Jul in the U.S, the Club World cup ended with Chelsea lifting the title for second time in their history.

The Blues dominated the final with Cole Palmer netting twice and assisting the third goal by Joao Pedro.

Trump’s Unexpected Moment

Trump attended the final and took part in the medal presentation. According to lip reading expert Jeremy Freeman who spoke to The Daily Mail, Trump shared light hearted words with several Chelsea stars especially Cole Palmer.

"Biggest Chelsea fan"

As he handed Palmer his medal, Trump reportedly said:

"I’m Chelsea’s biggest fan and I’m huge admirer of yours. Well done"

Palmer known for shying away from the media spotlight responded politely with quiet:

"Thank you"
