Premier League clubs have been announcing their plans for pre-season ahead of the new campaign.
Before then, there is the small matter of a European Championships in Germany, with many of the Premier League’s top players taking part.
Then it is straight back into the preparations for the new domestic season. Here is what clubs have planned so far…
Arsenal are heading to the United States for their preseason tour this summer as part of their preparations for the upcoming season. Arsenal will first face Manchester United in Los Angeles, which will be the second time the pair will have faced each other on American soil. Arsenal will then travel to Philidelphia to play Liverpool.
Aston Villa’s pre-season schedule over the summer is packed with exciting fixtures as they prepare for a Champions League campaign in the 24/25 season. The team will kick off their pre-season campaign in Slovakia facing Spartak Trnava. The team will then embark on a three-match tour of the USA, where they will face Columbus Crew, RB Leipzig and Club America. Villa will then return to England to play a domestic friendly against Athletico Bilbao and then finally head over to Dortmund to face Brussia Dortmund.
Chelsea kick off their pre-season tour with a series of fixtures in the United States. The fixtures will no doubt prove crucial for laying the groundwork for a successful campaign with another new manager at the helm in Enzo Maresca. Chelsea will face a mix of domestic and international opponents, taking on Wrexham, Celtic, Club America, Man City and Real Madrid.
With the departure of Jurgen Klopp, it is important new boss Arne Slot and the Liverpool team use the pre-season fixtures to get to grips with their new manager’s demands and it will be pivotal in laying the new foundations for the upcoming season. Liverpool head to America to face Real Betis, Arsenal and Liverpool. More fixtures will be released in the upcoming weeks.
Manchester City’s pre-season tour will take them across the United States. City will hope these fixtures will set the stage for another successful campaign, and they will face Celtic, AC Milan, Barcelona and Chelsea.
Ange Postecoglou’s side take on fellow Londoners QPR in July and then head out to Japan and South Korea, where they will also face Harry Kane’s Bayern Munich side.
