Enzo Maresca has spoken about Alejandro Garnacho and likened the winger to another summer signing in Jamie Gittens.
The Blues agreed a deal for Garnacho earlier this week worth £40m, and he became the fourth attacking signing after Liam Delap, Joao Pedro and Gittens.
Chelsea were also expected to add Xavi Simons, but they didn’t bid in the end and he joined Tottenham, with the Blues instead completing a shock loan deal for Brighton’s Facundo Buonanotte.
Chelsea were first linked with Garnacho in January and those links continued throughout the summer, until the deal was done.
Garnacho made it clear he only wanted Chelsea, and turned down an approach from Bayern Munich as well as a club in the Saudi Pro League.

The Argentina international will provide competition for Gittens on the left wing, and Maresca has spoken on how the pair are similar.
“They are quite similar,” Maresca said as quoted by Football London.
“In terms of, when we are looking for a winger, we like wingers who are good in one-v-ones, they are quite vertical, aggressive, they can attack, they can create something.
“Jamie is that profile. If Garnacho arrives, we will see.”
Garnacho will have to wait until after the international break to make his debut, and the 21-year-old will need time to get up to speed having had no pre-season.
The Blues take on Fulham in their final game before the international break, looking to add another three points after last week’s victory against West Ham.

Moises Caicedo could be a doubt having trained just once since the win against West Ham, but the Blues should have enough to beat Fulham, who are still looking for their first win of the season in the league.
