Chelsea are taking on Fulham on TNT Sport in the early kick off today, and the broadcaster sent Joe Cole to the Blues’ dressing room before kick off to look at some of the names ready to start the game.

Cole hails “Neymar vibes” of Estevao

He was immediately drawn to Estevao Willian, and had some high praise for him:

“He gives me Neymar vibes – that type of energy. Brilliant, brilliant footballer. When you come to watch football you want to watch players who excite you, and he will excite these Chelsea fans.”

Estevao has a phenomenal amount of hype around him, partly because he’s so highly rated in general, and partly because it’s been such a long wait for him to make his debut after signing.

You can see Cole speaking about the Blues’ new star in the clip embedded here:

Delap could be signing of the season adds former Blues winger

Cole also wanted to talk a little about Liam Delap. Delap hasn’t come with the same expectation as Estevao, but that may work to his advantage.

“I think he could be one of the best signings of this season. I love this kid. I love his aggression. He’s winning everything – if he’s playing you at anything, he’s trying to win. He’s hustle and bustle. I can see defenders who are playing against him shaking their heads because he’s giving them no space.

“I think by the end of this season people will look back at that signing for £30m and say ‘yeah, that was top’.”

Delap and Estevao are both getting a lot of chances early in the season thanks to Cole Palmer’s absence, and they will hope to take advantage of it.
