West Ham United were dealt a blow on Tuesday by the news that influential star Lucas Paquetá is likely to be out for four weeks with a calf injury.

Paquetá limped out of Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Bristol City and according to a report from The Guardian, a scan has revealed that the Brazilian will miss up to a month of action.

He is set to miss next week’s replay at Ashton Gate and could also be absent for Premier League games against Sheffield United, Bournemouth, Manchester United and Arsenal.

According to the report, he will now see a specialist in order to get to the root of the problem once and for all.

Meanwhile, the Hammers are still awaiting news on the ankle knock sustained by Jarrod Bowen in the dying minutes of the Bristol City game and with Mohammed Kudus also unavailable due to the Africa Cup of Nations, it could be a challenging month ahead for manager David Moyes.
