West Ham are growing in confidence that Lucas Paqueta is to be cleared of spot fixing allegations.

There has recently been a lot of rumours circulating online that the FA are set to find the Brazil star not guilty, although they are expected to face lawsuits over the handling of the affair.

It is now almost 2 years since the investigation has been launched, with the football authorities still continuing to drag out the saga, which has plagued the player and club for far too long.

It’s still unclear as to when the FA will finally announce the result of the investigation, however we understand that West Ham are growing in confidence that Paqueta will be cleared.

Should that be the case, it is expected that West Ham will then sell Paqueta, with clubs from abroad very interested in the player, including from Saudi Arabia.

Premier League clubs are also interested, as West Ham hope to land a much needed cash injection to finally draw a line under the saga.

It’s also expected that the club will sue the FA for loss of earning, with the investigation denying the sale of Paqueta to Manchester City almost 24 months ago.
