West Ham were held to a costly FA Cup draw by Championship outfit Bristol City on Sunday as the problems mounted for David Moyes.
Not only do his side, already in the midst of a relentless schedule, now not get a two-week break, the Hammers lost Lucas Paqueta and Konstantinos Mavropanos to injury.
It was the Brazilian who had teed Jarrod Bowen up for the opening goal less than ten minutes into the game with a fine pass over the visiting defence, the England forward then rounding the goalkeeper before firing into an empty net.
That proved to be Paqueta’s last involvement and the Robins started growing into the game. By the time forward Tommy Conway levelled the scores in the second-half, it was the away side who had enjoyed the better chances.

David Moyes faces a nervy wait to find out the extent of three key injuries suffered in Sunday’s FA Cup draw with Bristol City, but says his January transfer plans are unlikely to change unless any of them prove severe.
The Hammers were held to a 1-1 draw by the Championship side at the London Stadium and must now travel to Ashton Gate for a replay as they seek a place in the fourth round.

So much had been said of the fact that victory here would bring West Ham the reward of a fortnight’s breather that it almost felt forgotten that a place in the FA Cup fourth round was also on the line.
In the end, the Hammers seized neither prize, Tommy Conway’s second-half leveller cancelling out Jarrod Bowen’s strike to earn Championship Bristol City a 1-1 draw and force the side into a rematch at Ashton Gate in 10 days’ time, one that will cut short the two-week break pencilled into every Premier League club’s schedule.

West Ham will need a replay to reach the fourth round of the FA Cup after being pegged back by Championship Bristol City.
The Hammers took an early lead through Jarrod Bowen as David Moyes's decision to name a full-strength side appeared likely to pay off.
However, Tommy Conway's strike midway through the second-half ensured the two teams will meet again at Ashton Gate in ten days's time.

That might be the worst I've ever seen. Tommy Conway is genuinely ten yards offside in front of the linesman and he's still let it play out before flagging, just in case.
