The Addicks announced news of the arrangement via a post on their official club website this afternoon.
Filis is a former Arsenal academy graduate. She went on to feature briefly for The Gunners at senior level before spending a season with London Bees. The player joined latest club West Ham United in summer 2021 and she has gone on to make 37 appearances for the club in the Barclays Women’s Super League. The midfielder has found regular starts in short supply with The Hammers this season and she will now hope to get more game time at Charlton Athletic.
After joining The Addicks, Filis said “I’m excited to be here. I’m looking forward to the next six months – I’ve experienced a year in the Championship before which was really beneficial because they were my first real senior minutes.
“I think the Championship has come on a lot since then and, in a short space of time, there has been huge changes and the standard has really increased a lot. You can see that with Women’s Super League players now floating around the league.
“I love to get on the ball, I love to create attacks from the middle of the park and help create goalscoring opportunities for the team.”
Filis joins a Charlton Athletic side that are pushing for promotion to the Barclays Women’s Super League.
