According to a recent report from Daily Express, it was stated that West Ham United have opened talks with Paris Saint Germain for Thilo Kehrer. It is understood that PSG have set an asking price of £16 million and are open to offers as they look to sanction his exit from the French capital. However, the Hammers would have to be quick to finalise his transfer as Sevilla have shown keen interest to land him this summer.

Kehrer’s Campaign With The French Giants Last Season

Thilo Kehrer had a decent campaign for PSG last season as he put in some influential displays mostly coming off the bench to provide cover when required. He managed to find the back of the net on two occasions over 30 appearances across all fronts.

The Tubingen-born talent has made the most out of his appearances after averaging 0.8 tackles, 0.9 interceptions and 1.0 clearances per game in Ligue 1. He was also tidy with his ball distribution as he completed 94.7% of his attempted passes in the French first division (stats via whoscored).

Thilo Kehrer Linked To West Ham United

Should Moyes Bring Him To West Ham United?

Kehrer is a decent tackler of the ball and can make some clever interceptions to win the ball back for his team. The Germany international excels at holding on to the ball and playing his way out from the back. He can distribute to the wide areas using long passes from the backline and also does well to handle the ball under pressure.

The 25-year-old fits the bill of the modern ball-playing defenders and remains versatile to feature as a right-back when required. His arrival to London Stadium would offer the Hammers cover in the centre-half positions and the right-back position which David Moyes could utilise in their run for a top-four finish.

Kehrer would be a brilliant addition to their defensive department and the East London Club would be well stocked in the backline. Moyes should make a decent offer to bring him to London Stadium before the transfer window comes to a close at the end of this month.
