In a recent report, Football.London mentioned that West Ham United have long-term admirers of Chelsea forward Armando Broja, who is currently playing on loan at Fulham, this summer. It has been claimed that the Hammers remain keen on acquiring the services of the Albanian striker later this year.

Broja’s Unimpressive Loan Spell At Fulham So Far

Broja has struggled to be consistent with his offensive contributions up top. The Albanian talent has participated in five matches while on loan at Fulham this season, picking up one assist in the process across multiple competitions.

The 22-year-old has made all of his appearances off the bench which explains why he is only averaging 0.2 shots, 0.4 key passes and 0.2 dribbles per 90 minutes in the Premier League. He has also been a bit untidy with his link-up play in the opponent’s half based on his pass completion rate of 75% in the English first division (stats via whoscored).

His current contract at his parent club Chelsea will expire in the summer of 2028. Therefore, it won’t be easy for West Ham to snap him up on a cut-price deal at the end of this campaign.

Should West Ham United Boss David Moyes Go For Broja?

Broja excels at finding some space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has got the eye to create the odd chance for his teammates on the offensive end of the field. The Albanian forward can even make a few driving runs with the ball out on the wide areas. However, he has to find a way to improve his productivity in front of the opponent’s goal.

We can expect Broja to add more firepower to West Ham‘s frontline. He is good enough to fight for a regular starting spot in David Moyes’ first team in the coming years. The Albanian talent could even help the East London club cope with fixture congestion better next season.

Premier League well and won’t take much time to adjust to life at the London Stadium.
