In a recent report, Estadio Deportivo mentioned that West Ham United are long-term admirers of Sevilla forward Youssef En-Nesyri. It has been revealed that the Andalusian club are open to selling the Moroccan striker amid interest from the Hammers this summer.

En-Nesyri is having a decent campaign at the Spanish club after producing a series of impressive displays as the focal point of their attack. The Morocco international has banged in 17 goals and picked up three assists in 37 appearances for Sevilla this season on all fronts.

The 26-year-old has done well to average 2.1 shots, 0.3 key passes and 0.3 dribbles per game in La Liga. However, he has lacked quality when distributing possession in the final third based on his pass success rate of 63.6% in league football (stats via whoscored).

His current contract at the Spanish club will run out at the end of next season which could open the door for the Hammers to land him on the cheap later this year.

Should West Ham United Go For En-Nesyri?

En-Nesyri is proficient at creating a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal and has proven himself to be a capable finisher on the offensive end of the field. The talented forward can also create the odd chance for his teammates when he is playing well on the field. However, he has to find a way to improve his link-up play deep inside the opposition half.

We can expect the Moroccan sensation to add plenty of goals to West Ham‘s frontline. He is good enough to nail down a regular starting spot at the London Stadium next season. Plus, the Moroccan striker might even help the East London club compete across all fronts in the coming years.

At 26, En-Nesyri is about to enter the peak stage of his career which makes him a worthy target for the Hammers to pursue at the end of this campaign. However, there are some concerns over whether he can cope with the physical side and high intensity of Premier League football if West Ham manage to get a deal done for him when the transfer window commences later this summer.
