West Ham will continue to demand a fee of £100m for Declan Rice as the Premier League’s leading clubs consider a deal for the in-demand midfielder.

Rice has turned down two approaches from West Ham regarding the signing of a new contract, with Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City all interested in signing the England international.

The 22-year-old is currently contracted to the Hammers until 2024, whilst the club have the option to extend that deal for a further season and will demand a huge fee from interested suitors.

football.london are reporting that West Ham have not received any bids from rivals clubs for Rice and would not welcome approaches, with a figure of £100m to be demanded should any side firm up their interest.

Privacy Settings

Rice remains happy at West Ham and has played an integral role in their success under David Moyes, captaining the side for much of the campaign as Europa League qualification was secured in 2020/21.

However, the prospect of moving to a top-four side is said to appeal to the England midfielder, with both Manchester clubs considering making a huge bid for Rice to solve their issues in defensive midfield.

The holding position remains a weakness for United despite an exciting summer of recruitment that included the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo, whilst City are seeking a long-term successor to Fernandinho.

Rice’s asking price has so far deterred Chelsea – who released the player as a teenager – with Thomas Tuchel’s squad currently well-stocked in central midfield despite a long-standing interest.
