West Ham United need attacking reinforcements this summer to bolster an underperforming frontline ahead of a crucial 2025/26 campaign.

The Hammers have been linked to several players but have struggled to complete deals. They could face the same problem as they push to sign another attacker.

According to the Daily Mail, West Ham are preparing to swoop for OGC Nice forward Evann Guessand this summer.

However, a lack of funds means they must sell to buy, which will force them to rush a deal for top asset Mohammed Kudus. Niclas Fullkrug is also on the chopping block.

West Ham must swoop quickly to sign Guessand, as he is also a target for Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Wolves have a hole burning in their pockets after selling Rayan Ait-Nouri and Matheus Cunha for big money.

West Ham showed interest in Guessand in January, but nothing materialised.

Guessand bagged 12 goals and eight assists in 33 Ligue 1 appearances this term.

Like Kudus, Guessand can play multiple positions but prefers to ghost into the box off the right, earning comparisons to Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah for his ability.

If West Ham are serious about evolving their attack, Guessand is the type of player they cannot afford to let slip away.

His output last season speaks to his ability, and his skill set is well-suited to the Premier League.

Operating from the right, Guessand’s high-level sprints, intelligent off-ball movement and ability to link play mirror traits seen in elite wide forwards such as Salah.

West Ham often struggle to break down deep blocks or counter with pace – Guessand would resolve that issue for them.

At just £20–25 million, the 23-year-old is a rare mix of value, versatility, and upside. Wolves will move quickly, and West Ham must do the same.
