Santi Aouna is reporting that West Ham have reached an agreement with Al-Ittihad’s Jota (24).
Positive talks are now taking place between both clubs, while Aouna further reports that West Ham and Al-Ittihad both feel that a total agreement can be reached. As of now, Jota is awaiting the green light to travel to the UK where he will undergo a medical.
As reported last night by Jacob Steinberg, West Ham’s move for Jota comes after their move for Ibrahim Osman appears to have stalled. However, the Premier League side are working on a loan deal for the Portuguese winger, but the main obstacle for the move is a tax related issue.
Jota only joined Al-Ittihad from Celtic last summer for a fee just shy of €30m. The 24-year-old has since played 517 minutes across 11 games in all competitions, scoring two goals.
