In the build-up to the 2022/23 campaign, West Ham United confirm their pre-season fixtures.
The Hammers were limited to friendlies in just England and Scotland last season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They have held a pre-season camp at St Andrew’s, for the second year in a row.
However, last season’s pre-season saw David Moyes‘ side start strongly in the Premier League, Europa League, and Carabao Cup.
This summer, the Hammers will face a variety of opponents as they prepare for another yet exciting and busy season in which they will compete in the UEFA Europa Conference League.
West Ham’s pre-season dates have now been confirmed, ahead of rumoured trips to Scotland and Evian, France. Here’s everything you need to know as Moyes’ men prepare for the start of the new Premier League season.
The first fixtures will see Moyes splitting his squad for a double header on Tuesday 12th July, with one team travelling to Suffolk to face EFL League One side Ipswich Town and the other visiting National League outfit Boreham Wood.
The Hammers’ will then travel to the Select Car Leasing Stadium to face EFL Championship opponents Reading. Last summer, the Hammers defeated the same opponents 3-0 at the same venue.
Ticket information for all West Ham matches will be released in due course, so keep an eye on GiveMeSport for announcements of additional pre-season matches.
West Ham United, like the rest of the Premier League, will have to wait and see who they will face on the first day of the new season.
Premier League action is expected to begin on 6th August 2022, with the fixture list not being released until 9 a.m. BST on 16th June 2022.
