West Ham make offer for Milan target Julen Lopetegui | OneFootball

Premier League side West Ham have made an offer for Julen Lopetegui, who is also a key managerial target for Milan.

Luca Bianchin has reported that while Lopetegui is a key managerial target for Milan and so is Paulo Fonseca, other names such as Marcelo Gallardo and Christophe Galtier can’t be ruled out.

The key is to understand which candidate will convince Gerry Cardinale, Giorgio Furlani, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Geoffrey Moncada the most. Cardinale, in particular, has already met Lopetegui – a positive meeting – and may have also spoken with Fonseca.

West Ham have, in the meantime, already made an offer for Lopetegui. They want to decide who their next manager will be by early May, but Lopetegui is currently quite interested in a potential move to Milan and he has been waiting for an approach from the Serie A giants so far.

Even Milan consider him to be the best candidate out of the managers who are free in the market and salaries for both Lopetegui and Fonseca would be rather affordable for the club.
