West Ham United fans are reportedly planning a televised black balloon demonstration in protest of the owners of the club.

The Hammers United group are organising the protest to take place during their trip to league leaders Liverpool on February 24, according to The Telegraph.

This action is set to take place so Hammers fans can voice their concerns about the running of the club by co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold, as well as vice-chairman Karren Brady.

West Ham’s clash at Anfield is being televised on Sky Sports, and the protest group are hoping supporters make their feelings felt by letting off the balloons as well as bringing a number of banners to the game.

The same group organised a protest outside the London Stadium, ahead of last month’s 1-1 draw with Everton, which was reportedly attended by around 2000 people.

Fans are angry with the running of the club, and discontent has been brewing since the move to their new home in Stratford seven years ago.

The return of manager David Moyes has done nothing to appease the mood at the club.

Following the 3-3 draw with Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday, West Ham find themselves in the bottom three of the Premier League.
